Another day, another 10 year tour announcement from a beloved punk/hardcore/scene band that ruled many fellow 20-somethings’ high school years (bring ’em on, we say; viva nostalgia!). The latest band to hop on the anniversary tour bandwagon are Seattle post-hardcore/alt rockers Emery, whose one-two punch of raw, poppy, edgy 2004 Tooth & Nail debut The Weak’s End (which got its own anniversary tour last year), followed by more polished and best-known sophomore 2005 effort (around which this tour is centered) The Question definitely had legions of fans hooked from first listen. Emery have persisted in the decade since, aligning more with the Christian rock world in recent years, but to me and to many listeners who were the right age at the right time, nothing can compare to the nostalgia and relevance of the group’s first two records. Emery will celebrate The Question on Nov. 18 at Rocketown, along with The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Forevermore, and Hearts Like Lions. Grab your tickets to the all ages event here beginning Friday, Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. CDT, and get ready to get nostalgic with the video below!
