Nashville punk group Blacklist Royals, still riding high on the buzz surrounding last year’s masterful Die Young with Me, are tackling the music of seminal goth rock act The Cure, on a free, brand new collection of covers which they’ll be giving out throughout the month called Dead Time Volume One: Songs of The Cure. The series kicks off with a wonderful reworking of lesser-known track “Plainsong,” the opener from 1989’s Disintegration. The band premiered a video for their excellent cover last week, so check it out below, and keep an eye out for more Blacklist Royals tunes soon!
