Unfortunately and “due to unforeseen circumstances,” the Mad Decent Block Party has canceled its planned Aug. 28 stop at the Carl Black Chevy Woods Amphitheater (formerly Fontanel). Curated by Diplo’s Mad Decent label, the popular fest first hit Nashville last summer, and this year’s lineup was set to include Dilpo’s own Major Lazer, as well as RL Grime, Zeds Dead, and several other EDM and hip hop acts. Last year’s event sold out, so we honestly can’t begin to speculate why this one bottomed out, but looking at the routing, our stop seemed a bit out of the way, so maybe it just wasn’t as economical. It doesn’t sound like there’s any chance of the Nashville date being rescheduled, and full refunds are available at the point of purchase. Check out a statement from the venue below.
We are sorry to report that due to unforeseen circumstances the Nashville Mad Decent Block Party will not be taking place. We apologize especially to those of you who made travel plans to attend this but we exhausted all efforts with no avail to bring the block party to Nashville. We hope you come to see us in another city. Full refunds are available at the point of purchase.
