Nashville rockers and blog faves, Los Colognes steadily ping our radar with their tightly packaged yet laid back rock sound.  We completely devoured their 2013 debut, Working Together, with it’s JJ Cale influenced songwriting over a throwback 70’s rock vibe.  And, their live show, as they have demonstrated so many times for us, just show the Chicago transplants having fun with their continually tightening and evolving sound.

The band recently released the first single, “Backseat Driver“, from their upcoming sophomore effort, Dos, which is set to drop on September 4th.  The new single features a band that is really dialing in their 70s influenced sound, or, as drummer Aaron Mortenson claims, “We aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel, we are just trying to get really good at our version of it.”

Head below to stream the new single and the cover art, and make sure to mark your calendar for their album release show at The Basement East on Friday September 4th!
