Cherub Secretly Join Mayday Fest, Bonnaroo as “Snicklefritz”

Just days after Cage the Elephant utterly destroyed The Basement East at their not so secret secret show, another local fave have covertly joined an upcoming bill at the east side’s best new show space. As if this weekend’s 3-day Mayday Fest wasn’t already stacked enough, buzzy Nashville electro-indie duo Cherub have been added to Friday night’s festivities as “Snicklefritz.” Need proof (other than the fact that Cherub have played secret shows under that pseudonym in the past)? Here you go:

Cool as the last minute Mayday inclusion is, we’ve also found an even bigger bill that Cherub managed to sneak onto (as mentioned above by local DJ Jeremy Todd, aka Coach): Bonnaroo! A quick scan of this year’s schedule shows Snicklefritz performances Thursday at Snake & Jake’s Christmas Barn and Saturday at the Silent Disco! And they would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for us meddling bloggers…
