Ahead of their May 12 all ages show at Cannery Ballroom, alternative/pop rock group The Maine have teamed up with their tourmmates Real Friends, Knuckle Puck, and The Technicolors to cover “The Drugs” by Weatherbox. A definite departure from recent original single “English Girl,” the cover’s melancholy tone and production is more reminiscent of the group’s last album, Forever Halloween, than of the presumedly more poppy direction they’ve taken with their upcoming fifth album, American Candy (out March 31). Listen to “The Drugs” below, and grab tickets to The Maine’s Cannery show here.
