Mercy Lounge and Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale® are teaming up to bring you a different kind of show for Nashville this Friday night (Nov. 21), featuring R&B pop/folk artist Shannon LaBrie and the roaring keys of Joseph Aaron. For those of you who have not seen them live, both artists have the unique ability of pulling you into their music and making you feel as though you are the only one in the room. Add newcomers Kyshona Armstrong and Matthew Thomas to the bill, and this will be way more than your average singer-songwriter night. Tickets are $7 pre-sale and $10 at the door, and Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale® will be on special all night.

SHANNON LABRIE

Shannon LaBrie should be the poster child for New Nashville’s singer-songwriter scene. The R&B pop/folk artist has gained quite a following and we can see why. Her silky-smooth voice is something you have to hear to believe, and her performance gives off a sensual vibe which makes you hope that there is a special kind of heaven where LaBrie sings “Fever” on repeat in a smoky jazz club. Her last album, Just Be Honest, debuted in the top ten of iTunes’ singer-songwriter chart, and she has since been featured by American Songwriter and The Washington Post. Watch out Norah Jones, your successor has finally arrived and her name/voice/tunes are just that much sexier.

JOSEPH AARON

We could not think of a better artist to put on a bill with LaBrie than Joseph Aaron. We premiered the debut EP for the blues/pop/soul artist last month, and, since then, he has acquired a sponsorship from Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale® and a six-month residency at The Listening Room with The Makers Series. We expect big things for this artist’s future, and apparently we’re not the only ones. Apart from being Aaron’s first official full band show, his set will include a special appearance by the gospel-inspired vocal powerhouse, Kyshona Armstrong.

MATTHEW THOMAS

Pop singer songwriter Matt Pingel will use this showcase to rebrand himself as Matthew Thomas. There’s nothing out there to embed for this rising talent, but, if you are a fan of Ed Sheeran, you would be a fool to be late.

Shannon LaBrie, Joseph Aaron, and Matthew Thomas will perform Friday, Nov. 21 at Mercy Lounge. The show is 18+, begins at 8 p.m. (doors at 7 p.m.), and tickets are available for $7 advance or $10 at the door.
