JustinTownesEarle-620

As we first announced back in August, local folk/country/Americana singer-songwriter Justin Townes Earle is set to make his headlining Ryman Auditorium debut on Nov. 20 with Cory Branan. A longtime staple of the local scene, Earle released his fifth album, Single Mothers, on Sept. 9, and remains one of Music City’s purest, most eclectic, and most gifted performers. His sound is primed for The Ryman stage, and, if you want to witness it for yourself, it’s not too late to grab tickets here. Additionally, you can read on for a chance to win a pair, and find out more about the show below.

JUSTIN TOWNES EARLE

A native of Nashville and the son of acclaimed alt-country singer Steve Earle, Justin Townes Earle erupted onto the scene in the late ’00s, first with an EP, then with five subsequent full-lengths in just six years. A gifted songwriter with the ability to straddle the line between Americana, folk, country, rockabilly, blues, and soul music, Justin built a reputation for being somewhat volatile in his earlier years, but, as of late, has cleaned up his act and is now a married man. In 2012, he produced an album for legendary rockabilly singer Wanda Jackson, and has graced historic stages like the Grand Ole Opry. We can’t think of any Nashvillian more deserving of headlining The Ryman, and encourage you to come support one of Music City’s best acts!

CORY BRANAN

For more than a decade, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Cory Branan has been making a name for himself with his personal flavor of alt-country infused folk rock. Able to weave between genres and appeal to everyone with his unique, universal gift of song, Cory has become an indispensable part of the underground scene, and will serve as a perfect compliment to Justin Townes Earle for this performance.
