Keeping our weekly local music showcase going into November, No Country and Acme Seed & Feed are proud to present for your musical pleasure, singer-songwriter Jacob Thomas Jr. and indie folkster Guthrie Brown. As always, this show is 100% FREE and the tunes start around 8 pm. Come one, come all, and get their early to enjoy some awesome grub! For more info on the bands, read on after the jump, and you be sure to stop in at Acme this Tuesday night (and every following Tuesday night) for No Country Presents.

JACOB THOMAS JR.

Originally hailing from Lafayette, LA, Jacob Thomas Jr. now calls Music City home, and he stays busy. He dropped his debut album Original Sin earlier this year, had a four week residency at The 5 Spot we told you all about, and he’s played with huge names like Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, and Eric Church. His songs come from real struggle with the bottle, divorce and even incarceration. When he sings you listen. Come see for yourself, and become a fan instantly, just like we did.

GUTHRIE BROWN

Young, up and coming pop folk singer Guthrie Brown traveled to Nashville from small town Montana, and we couldn’t be happier to have him here. He’s been playing with his band, The Family Tree, since 2013 and records in his very own home studio. He also has a list of impressive collaborations including The Lumineers, Buddy Guy and The North Mississippi Allstars … not too shabby for someone who’s still in their early twenties. Look for his stripped down set to be slightly more up-beat fare; the ying to the headliners slightly darker yang. Also, be sure to enjoy his band’s new EP below!

Jacob Thomas Jr. and Guthrie Brown will perform Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Acme Feed & Seed. The show is 21+, music begins at 8 p.m., and, per usual, it’s totally FREE. Downtown PARKING can sometimes be an issue. However, if you’re willing to walk a few blocks, free street parking is typically easy to find on the numbered avenues south of Broadway, or along Korean Veterans Blvd, and metered spaces are often free after 6 p.m.
