RapperVocab

So if you’re not living under a rock this week, you know that everyone’s busy fantasy-bromancing with Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Chris Pratt and having a total geek-gasm over this video of him spitting Eminem‘s guest verse from “Forgot About Dre.”

But have you ever stopped to truly marvel at Marshall Mathers‘s mastery of language? Have you ever wondered how he’d fare in a game of Scrabble against, say Busta Rhymes? Well, now thanks to designer/data-enthusiast, suddenly-somebody, Matt Daniels, you can see where your favorite hip hop artists fall in the biggest battle of all – vocabulary.

And we’re gonna’ celebrate rap’s greatest wordsmiths as well as those that could use a little refresher on their Wordly Wise after the jump!

Aesop Rock leads the pack with 7,392 unique words used

Em is in the middle with 4,494

And DMX is last with just 3,214 unique ways to express himself.

If you want more info on the literary prowess of your favorite rap stars, you can check out the breakdown here and order yourself a poster print right this way. Don’t forget to have yourself a happy Hump Day — y’all been Diverted (up in here).
