The New Pornographers-620

It’s unlikely that anyone (outside of those really well versed in the late 90’s Vancouver, British Colombia pop scene) would have ever called The New Pornographers a super group.  Fast forward almost 15 years since their founding, and you would be hard pressed to find anyone to say anything otherwise.  This collective includes core members A.C. Newman, Neko Case, Dan Bejar of Destroyer & Swan Lake, and members of Limblifter just to name half of them.

The New Pornographers were, in fact, such prolific musicians, that they couldn’t keep the band together due to all of their impressive solo projects.  Well, my fellow lovers of the pop, the hiatus is about to take a hiatus. The New Pornographers are set to release their 6th studio album, Brill Bruisers, on August 26th, and the supporting tour will bring them through Nashville’s Cannery Ballroom with Pains Of Being Pure At Heart on November 4th.  Tickets for that one went on pre-sale today (June 11th) at 10am right here.  [A second pre-sale is taking place starting June 19th from 10am to 10pm right here; password is BRUISERS] General admission tickets go on sale June 20th at 10am right here.  If you want to get a taste of what the new album is all about, we have a playful neon spray paint style embed featuring the title track below.
