As we told you last month, Cincinnati rockers Foxy Shazam recently dropped a surprise fifth album, Gonzo, which they recorded in secret with legendary producer Steve Albini, and opted to release for FREE! A deconstructionist callback to the days before the group towards a more glam/arena-ready sound, it’s something of a straightforward, minimalist masterpiece, and one of our favorite releases of the year so far. Back to being independent, Foxy have just dropped their first video in support of the album, for a song called “Tragic Thrill.” You can check it out below, and catch them live with they return to Nashville June 5 for a show at Exit/In with Larry and His Flask.
