Continuing their “Shop Sessions,” which kicked off in February with *repeat repeat, and continued last month with Bradley Warren, Jr., local apparel and lifestyle brand DCXV have debuted the third installment of the live in-store performance series, this time featuring synth rockers and friends of the site, Vinyl Thief. We’ve been raving about the guys’ latest EP, Stop Motion, lately, and we think you’d be crazy to miss their first hometown outing in quite awhile, this Friday (April 11) at The High Watt with Phin and INTL (formerly The Young International).
For this session, which was filmed by Mary-Beth Blankenship (whose photos you often see on this very site) and recorded by Joe Hutchinson, Vinyl Thief performed an impressive four tracks, “Faces,” “London,” “Slow Down,” and “Smooth.” You can watch “London,” which received the full video treatment, and listen to the high-quality audio of all four, below, and find more about the series on DCXV’s Tumblr. Also, be on the lookout for the latest edition of the No Country For New Nashville Podcast, featuring Vinyl Thief, very soon!
