I guess today is THE day to tell you about new tracks and upcoming Nashville shows.  So, without further ado…

In anticipation of Andrew Bird’s upcoming album Break It Yourself, the whistling-fiddle-meister has dropped the first single from that new record onto his SoundCloud page.  This is the new record that he will be touring in support of, and he will be stopping at The Ryman on March 19th.  Great seats are still available for that show, and everyone who buys a ticket gets a download code for the new record.  If you are more of a traditional vinyl type, Mr. Bird will be releasing limited edition (only 1,000) box sets.  Each linen-wrapped box will be hand-numbered and will contain the album on 2xLP and CD, as well as a DVD called Here’s What Happened, lyric booklet, a poster, a “photographic reproduction of the 1915 album cover image,” (above) and a “stationary and stamp set.”  (via P4k)  The physical release date is March 6th on Mom + Pop Records.
