Icelandic rockers Sigur Rós have just announced a North American tour, which includes a stop at The Woods Ampthitheatre at Fontanel, Sept. 27 in Nashville.
The group last hit music city in 2006, performing at The Ryman. We’ve been eagerly anticipating their return, and had hoped to see them at Bonnaroo this year, but a headlining date is even better! Tickets go on sale Saturday, June 22, and can be purchased here. We’ll keep you posted about pre-sale info! [UPDATE: A limited pre-sale will begin Wed., June 12, at noon. Head here and use the password ‘KVEIKUR’]
Sigur Rós have a new album, Kveikur, slated for release next Tuesday, June 18, via XL. Check out a lyric video for new track, “Isjaki,” after the jump, along with the band’s full North American tour routing.
