The Black Lips at Exit/In August 3rd

Highly acclaimed rockers The Black Lips will be at the Exit/In in Nashville on August 3rd.  Their self-proclaimed “flower punk” style gives them a bit of a Velvet Underground playing sixties surf sound.  These guys are also well known for completely off-the-wall raucous shows that have included flaming guitars, bodily fluids, and one incident that had them fleeing India.  They have toured the world over, laid down a pretty awesome Daytrotter session, and have appeared in numerous “best of” lists since moving over to Vice Records in 2007.  This tour will be in support of their 6th studio album Arabia Mountain (produced by Mark Ronson) releasing on June 7th via Vice Records.

I hope Nashville is ready for this!  Man, I know I am.
