Daisyhead Celebrate 10 Years of ‘The Smallest Light’ at The ’58 at Eastside Bowl Tonight, July 27

It feels like it wasn’t that long ago that local alt/emo/post-hardcore outfit Daisyhead were announcing their debut album, The Smallest Light, after several years of drumming up buzz and cultivating a following in Nashville’s flourishing indie punk scene of the time. That album- and the band’s subsequent release show at The End, which we remember vividly- was somehow more than 10 years ago in reality though, and, in the decade since, has remained one of the most enduring, defining releases of the local scene of the 2010s. Daisyhead went on to release one more full-length, In Case You Missed It, in 2017, and have remained intermittently active since, returning every couple of years with new music and occasional tours, and remain strong ties to their home city of Nashville, despite frontman and primary creative force Michael Roe having relocated to Colorado half a decade ago (the rest of the band’s lineup has been something of a revolving door over the years).

In celebration of The Smallest Light‘s anniversary, Daisyhead have re-issued the album on vinyl, and been out of the road for the last few weeks for a 10-year run that will end, fittingly, back home tonight, July 27 at The ’58 at Eastside Bowl, for their first Nashville show in a year and a half! The supporting lineup is particularly stacked, with local alt/shoegaze outfit Lockstep, Chicago emo and pop punks Arcadia Grey, Iowa and Wisconsin resonant alt/emo/indie rockers Bouquet, and Illinois’ genre-bending metal/grungy/emo outfit Heaving all rounding all the bill. Grab tickets here, and preview the lineup (including a brand new Daisyhead track, “Lost in the Comfort”) below!

Daisyhead, Lockstep, Arcadia Grey, Bouquet, and Heaving will perform tonight, July 27 at The ’58 at Eastside Bowl. The show is 18+, begins at 7 p.m. (doors at 6 p.m.), and tickets are available for $21.91.
