One of the most enduring acts of the 2010s metalcore scene, Ohio’s The Plot in You began as a solo side project for frontman and multi-instrumentalist Landon Tewers, before swiftly morphing into his full-time focus by 2011 debut LP First Born. A group who’ve always been a little bit sonically hard to pin down, TPIY have incorporated elements of heavy, propulsive metalcore and deathcore, more resonant and melodic pop and alt rock, hard-hitting post-hardcore, and even elements of industrial and electronica across their five eclectic albums, the most recent of which, Swan Song, dropped back in 2021. Acclaimed for their intense, layered, magnetic live show, the rockers have toured with pretty much every popular metalcore and post-hardcore band of 2010s, clocking countless miles on the road and becoming one of heavy music’s most dependable and impressive bands.

While The Plot in You haven’t released a full-length album in a minute, they spent last year dropping a trio of EPs- Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3– via their current label home of Fearless Records, and are currently on tour along with a stacked supporting lineup of Welsh hardcore outfit Holding Absence, Connecticut melodic metalcore group Boundaries, and UK alt-hardcore genre-benders Acres. The stacked heavy lineup is set to hit Nashville on March 4, at Cannery Hall’s Mainstage, and tickets are still available right here while they last!
