The musical alias of Nashville based singer-songwriter Austin Sawyer, Drumming Bird has been honing his sound for several years now, fusing lush indie rock, wistful Americana and folk, and cosmic, earnest, and introspective alt-country. After a couple of strong early efforts in 2019 debut album Great Smokey Love and 2020 followup Ocoee, Sawyer really caught our (and the internet’s) attention with late 2022 EP American Spirits, which, as exemplified by its viral title track, is his best, most mature, and most adventurous work to date, earning the young songwriter further buzz and critical praise as he continues to tour the nation.
No stranger to stages around Music City, Drumming Bird is set to play his latest hometown headliner at Exit/In on Oct. 27, along with fellow Nashville-based indie folk singer-songwriter Angela Autumn and ambient, indie folk favorite BAERD. Tickets for this stacked local bill are still available right here, but we’re excited to announce that we’re also giving away a pair of tickets to a couple of lucky winners! Preview all of the performers and enter below.
Drumming Bird, Angela Autumn, and BAERD will perform Friday, Oct. 27 at Exit/In. The show is all ages, begins at 8 p.m. (doors at 7 p.m.), and tickets are available to purchase for $24.45.
