As music festivals change and revamp and, occasionally, disappear altogether in our post-Covid live music landscape, it’s always nice to see brand new events still emerge, and doubly so when they’re local. And though Coachella might’ve just kicked off festival season nationally, Bright Shade Music & Arts Festival will do so for Nashville this Saturday, April 29, returning for its second year, after making an impressive debut in 2022 with a lineup of Jordy Seacry, Vacation Manor, The Wldlfe, Stephen Sanchez, and more. A boutique, single-day, two-stage event held at The Yard at OneC1TY (between Charlotte Pike and West End Avenue off the 31st Connector), the fest boasts a very cool lineup of local and national performers, along with modestly priced tickets, right in the heart of the city. We can’t imagine a better start to festival season!

This year’s impressive lineup features indie rockers The Greeting Committee and eclectic rock and soul faves The New Respects at the top of the bill, along with indie pop duo Hovvdy, indie pop singer-songwriter Gatlin, folk outfit The Arcadian Wild, buzzy indie singer-singwriter Cece Coakley, indie rockers Mercury, poppy indie outfit Hotel Fiction, alt pop trio Pacific, experimental indie artist nickname jos, indie pop up and comer Spuddy, pop singer Faith Ashley Hopkins, breezy indie singer-songwriter Michael Alan Scott, and honky tonkin’ country western artist W. B. Sims. Though mostly indie rock and pop leaning, there’s some folk and country and soul sprinkled into this eclectic, largely local bill, which is really expertly curated to make for a very cool day fest.

Tickets are still available here at $39 for General Admission and $119 for VIP, which includes a designed viewing area right by the main stage, an elevated private lounge, a private bar with curated cocktails, an exclusive Bright Shade gift, and 10% of all Bright Shade merchandise (and you can save an additional 15% on tickets using our discount code: NOCOUNTRYNASH). We’re also excited to announce that we’re giving away a pair of GA tickets to one lucky fan! Preview the full lineup and schedule below, and enter for a chance to win.
