The talented and creative folks at local makerspace Fort Houston have long been known to throw some excellent parties, and this Saturday, May 25‘s Fort Fest music fest and art installation, which actually spans three days with a special Friday, May 24 pre-party show at Soft Junk and Tournament and concludes with a Sunday, May 26 brunch party at Rosemary & Beauty Queen, is without doubt going to be one of their finest. With a Friday night lineup that includes great local favorites like Meth Dad and The Whigs’ Parker Gispert, a Saturday slate of Athens indie faves Futurebirds, and great locals Faux Ferocious, Daddy Issues, Kent Osborne, and more, plus the Sparkle City Disco crew supplying the tunes on Sunday, Fort Fest is an excellently curated, largely local celebration of Nashville’s great indie scene. In addition to music, Saturday in Fort Houston’s gallery you can check out an immersive art instillation from none other than The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne called “King’s Mouth” (and Friday there will be art next to Soft Junk at Tournament), and of course there will be plenty of great local drinks, food, and more on site.

Tickets are available in a variety of options, but if you want to make the most of Fort Fest, we’d suggest the $50 Weekend Bender Pass, which gets you into Friday and Saturday’s shows, includes free beer on Friday and discounted on Saturday, a private viewing deck on Saturday, and is the only way to get into the Sunday brunch party, where you can mingle with the performers and cap off your weekend with drink specials and food from The BE-Hive. Regular GA tickets are also available for $20 in advance, which get you Saturday’s main festivities only, and a limited number of $10 walk-up tickets are available for Friday (Saturday will also have some walk-up tickets, but they’re cheaper in advance, and Sunday is Bender Pass only). Preview all of the performers and check out the schedule below, and head to Fort Fest’s event page for more info and updates!

Fort Fest will kick off a Friday, May 24 pre-party at Soft Junk and Tournament (8 p.m. start, 7 p.m. doors), the main event is at Fort Houston Saturday, May 25 (4 p.m. start, 3 p.m. doors), and will conclude with a special Sunday, May 26 brunch for Weekend Bender Pass holders at Rosemary & Beauty Queen (12-4 p.m.). Pre-sale tickets are available for $20 (Saturday GA only) or $50 (Weekend Bender Pass), and a limited number of walkup tickets will be available Friday and Saturday.
