Every year, the summer music festival landscape seems to change and expand, and, though that sometimes can mean growing pains for larger, increasingly competitive events, and uncertainty for smaller ones, there’s been an ongoing demand for more curated, boutique, and unique fests. One of this 2019’s brand new happenings is Railbird Festival in nearby Lexington, Kentucky, which, despite its first-time status, is being presented by festival veterans AC Entertainment (the folks behind Bonnaroo, Forecastle, Moon River, and more). Set to take place Aug. 10-11 at the historic and picturesque Grounds at Keeneland, Railbird is already looking like one the region’s hottest tickets of the summer (especially with its unique and regional identity, leaning heavily into Kentucky’s bourbon and horse culture, in addition to music), with more than 30 performers across two stages, covering a wide range of genres, and with quite a few Nashville performers, in addition to stellar national talent.

Following this year’s convenient trend of revealing day lineups right off the bat, Railbird’s Saturday, Aug. 10 lineup features The Raconteurs, Brandi Carlile, Old Crow Medicine Show, Mandolin Orange, Mavis Staples, Robert Earl Keen, Grace VanderWaal, Ruston Kelly, Billy Strings, Low Cut Connie, The Dip, Devon Gilfillian, Lillie Mae, Lucie Silvas, Justin Wells, Ian Noe, and Joslyn & The Sweet Compression, and Sunday, Aug. 11 will boast Hozier, Tyler Childers, Gary Clark Jr., St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Lucinda Williams, I’m With Her, Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, Jade Bird, Blackfoot Gypsies, The Wooks, Susto, Futurebirds, Fruit Bats, Yola, Johnny Conqueroo, Kelsey Walden, and Ona.

Tickets are on sale now, and range from GA to VIP to an ultra-deluxe Superfecta level, all right here, but we’re thrilled to announce that we’re also giving away a pair of weekend passes to the inaugural event to one lucky fan! Find out more about Railbird at the fest’s site, follow their social media links at the bottom of the page for the latest updates, and watch an announcement video then enter for a chance to win tickets below!
