While his iconic and long-running band Aerosmith seem to be inching towards an inevitable conclusion (they’ve been operating intermittently for years, and have been embarking here and there on global treks marketed as their last), legendary singer Steven Tyler has shown no intention of bowing out of music entirely.
As was well-documented a few years back, Tyler spent a considerable amount of time hanging around Nashville as he worked on his solo debut, a purported country album (though it’s more like country rock), 2016’s We’re All Somebody from Somewhere. The summer prior, he prominently appeared at the inaugural Pilgrimage Fest, and in recent year’s he’s linked up with a lot of Nashville talent for his sporadic live outings.
This spring and summer, Steven will once again hit the road under his own name (playing both the classics and some new cuts), backed by his frequent collaborators and Music City locals The Loving Mary Band. Keeping the Nashville love going, local duo The Sisterhood (a supergroup of sorts made up of singer-songwriters Ruby Stewart and Alyssa Bonagura, who seem to possibly be going by “The Sisterhood Band” now) have been tapped to open!
Before the run really kicks off in June, they’ll warm up with a May 12 performance at the Carl Black Chevy Woods Amphitheater at Fontanel, for which tickets go on sale this Friday, March 23 at 10 a.m. CDT right here (with LiveNation pre-sales beginning a day prior).
