One of our most anticipated records of 2017 drops this Friday, but you can stream Paperhead’s Chew a few days in advance, thanks to Hype Machine, below.  The long awaited followup to 2014’s Africa Avenue sees the young, local psych popsters continuing to explore their sound with an updated production quality that influenced by sweet ’60s pop melodies and the crunchy guitar riffs of the current San Francisco psych scene, dabbled with touches of twang and soul.  Chew is set to release on the Chicago based Trouble in Mind Records (Mikal Cronin, Ultimate Painting, Dick Diver), where their unique sound should fit right in.

You can continue your weekly struggle towards the weekend with an advance stream of Chew below, and mark your calendar to catch them in Nashville at Little Harpeth Brewery on Feb. 24.  They will follow that show up with an official album release party on March 4 at The Music Row Mansion.
