A couple years removed from their 2015 seventh full-length, What a Terrible World, What a Beautiful World (in support of which they made a 2015 stop at The Ryan and appearance at the inaugural Pilgrimage Fest), long-running Portland indie rock outfit The Decemberists have announced a short run of springs dates, where they promise to play songs from “every dusty corner of [their] discography,” as well as showcase some new material.
The tour brings the group back to The Ryman Auditorium on April 12, nearly two years to the day from their last stop at the Mother Church, and continuing their long-running tradition of handpicking emerging talent as support, it’ll feature former Nashville resident Julien Baker in the opening spot, her first time playing the famed venue.
Tickets are set to go on sale Friday, Jan. 27 at 12 p.m. CST right here, with various VIP packages available as early as tomorrow, Jan. 24, and general pre-sales beginning Thursday.
