Mastodon to Play The Ryman May 17

Prepping to release their highly-anticipated followup to 2014’s Once More ‘Round the Sun, Atlanta sludgey, progressive, alt metal rockers Mastodon have announced a new run of spring dates, which includes a stained glass endangering stop at The Ryman Auditorium on May 17., the group’s first in Music City since a 2014 date at Marathon Music Works. The show will also feature support from Eagles of Death Metal, who return to town for the first time since they were frighteningly involved in the Paris terrorist attacks in Nov. 2015, as well as long-running Chicago instrumental post-metal outfit Russian Circles.

Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday Jan. 13 at 12 p.m. CST right here, or you can use pre-sale code ‘CIRCLEPIT’ now. We’ll have more details as this one approaches, but if you’re a metalhead, you’ll definitely want to jump at the chance to see this lineup at the Mother Church!
