New Nashville transplant and alumni of our Acme showcase series, accomplished singer-songwriter Kayleigh Goldsworthy has been hard at work crafting new material, since making Music City her home earlier this year. Formerly of indie rock group The Scarlet Ending, Goldsworthy began incorporating folk, country, and pop influences into her sound, upon shifting gears to pursue a solo career a few years back. While we eagerly await a followup to 2013’s Burrower, Kayleigh has teamed up with multifaceted artist Nate Harold, best known for playing bass in fun. (as well as for Mike Posner, and fun. singer Nate Ruess’s solo project), to tackle of fantastic cover of Band of Horses’ career-making single “No One’s Gonna Love You.” True to the original, the rendition still showcases both Goldsworthy and Harold’s unique sensibilities, and they do a fantastic job of making it their own.
