Local soul/funk outfit and friends of the site Alanna Royale have announced a pop up show tonight at City Winery, and it is just the cure for the grey, rainy Monday blues.  This will be the last official local show of 2016 for the band, who are hard at work on their follow up to their outstanding 2014 LP Achilles. AR trumpeteer Charles Ray will be opening things up.  Doors for the show are at 6 p.m., the music gets started around 8 p.m., and tickets are available for only $5.  Head below to watch a video of the live version of “Tennessee Heat” to get an idea of what you are in store for to warm yourself up on this cold grey December day.  Note: be careful of some language in the first few seconds, if listening at work.
