Though they played Marathon Music Works earlier this year in support of Lamb of God, and we caught them back in the spring at Atlanta’s Wrecking Ball, it’s been nearly three years since genre-bending, artsy San Francisco black metal meets post-metal meets shoegaze outfit Deafheaven played their one and only headlining show in Music City. That makes their return, March 8 at Mercy Lounge, all the more highly-anticipated, as the group trek back to Nashville in support of their aggressive, complex, and critically lauded sophomore release, last year’s New Bermuda. Though tastemaking outlets love to love them, don’t be fooled; Deafheaven’s live show is more loud, intense, and visceral than you can even imagine, and with several years of constant touring under their belt, they’re more honed and huge than ever. Grab tickets to the group’s upcoming show, which also features This Will Destroy You and Emma Ruth Rundle, beginning Friday, Dec. 2 at 10 a.m. CST right here, and check out a full list of tour dates below!
