The results of this year’s Best of Nashville Reader’s Poll have arrived, and once again we owe a HUGE thank you to all of you who voted, and helped name us #2 in the Best Music Blog category! We’re honored to have been ranked among the top three for several years running, and we’re proud to be included alongside our talented peers at the Nashville Cream and Lockeland Springsteen for Best of 2016. No Country has long been a labor of love, and we continue to grow every year thanks to the support from our fantastic readers as well as Nashville’s amazing musical community. We never imagined how far this site would come, and, as we near the end of our busiest year ever, we can’t wait for you to see what’s in store for 2017.
We’re also honored that our White Reaper rooftop show at Acme Feed & Seed, which rocked so hard in August of 2015 that it apparently left an impression that carried into the new year, was named “Best Punk Show on Lower Broad” in the Writers’ Choice section.
This site started with a simple goal to give a voice to the bands less covered, the shows less frequented, and a side of Nashville less buzzed about; since then, the city has grown along with us, but our core mission remains the same. As we expand our scope, change alongside Nashville’s own growth and ever-evolving musical landscape, and venture into a new media arenas, we’ve learned that we can always count on the loyalty and support from all of you who’ve been with us all along the way. Thanks for validating what we do, and thanks for motivating us to always strive to be the best, most comprehensive source we can be. We love you, Nashville!
And finally, congratulations to all of the winners in every category. Seeing so many friends and favorites, new and old, really illustrates how special our city is, and we’re incredibly honored to be a part of such an impressive list. You can pick up a copy of the Nashville Scene’s Best of Nashville 2016 issue for free on newsstands now to see this year’s full list of winners and writers’ picks, or view them online, in abbreviated form.
THANK YOU!
