It’s almost that time of year again! AmericanaFest will take over downtown Nashville Sept. 20 through the 24th. On the 21st, the Americana Music Association will hold its 15th Annual Americana Music Awards at The Ryman Auditorium in conjunction with the festival. This year features an incredible lineup of performers from all facets of country, folk and, of course, Americana. Jason Isbell, Emmylou Harris, Margo Price, The Lumineers, Billy Bragg, Shawn Colvin, Rodney Crowell, Steve Earle, Joe Henry, Alison Krauss, Jim Lauderdale, the Milk Carton Kids, Buddy Miller, Parker Millsap, John Moreland, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Bonnie Raitt, Bob Weir, Lucinda Williams and George Strait are all set to take the stage at this year’s ceremony.
Of course, these are just a handful of the artists that you can catch playing special showcases across all of the major venues around town. There’s over 250 artists set to perform, including two special kick-off shows from The Lumineers with BØRNS and Rayland Baxter at Ascend Amphitheater.
If you want to attend the entire conference and festival (which includes entry into the award ceremony), you can still register for $275 to $475. If you still want to enjoy all the showcases you can while saving a little bit of cash, simply snag a wristband for $60. You can find out more about ticketing info, the awards and the festival itself here. Stay tuned for our list of artists you have to see during this year’s jam-packed AmericanaFest.
