Nashville indie pop project Kaptan are having quite the 2016 thus far. After the breakout success of their 2015 EP Sprinter, they are continuing to tear up the interwebs with their third single, “Jump,” nabbing another top five ranking at music aggregator site Hype Machine, and racing past the million streams threshold on Spotify.
KAPTAN is back with a new single “Numbers,” which features more of Andrew de Torres’ soaring vocals over the synth driven pop backbone, and plops them firmly on the spectrum between like-minded bands Neon Indian or Small Black.
If you still haven’t gotten hip to KAPTAN, check out “Numbers” below, and then grab $8 advance tickets to see them perform with Vinyl Thief and JMR at Mercy Lounge on Friday Aug. 26.
