Beloved, tastemaking local label and friends of the site Infinity Cat have announced that their popular, annual, curated Cassette Series is returning for a third year, kicking off July 22 with the debut album from Chicago, shoegaze-y indie punks Toby Coke. The full-length, Time Negator, will be available on a translucent red cassette, and it will be strictly limited to 350 copies, per cassette series tradition. The best way to guarantee you get your hands on a copy is to subscribe to the full series right here, where you’ll receive a new release and a special bonus every other month for a year; but hurry, because there are only fifty subscription spots up for grabs. Otherwise, you’re rolling the dice, because once the limited releases are gone, they’re gone! For now, check out Toby Coke’s dark lead single, “Never Be Alone,” and stay tuned for updates as the remaining cassettes, chosen by curator/pizza enthusiast Casey Weissbuch, are announced. In the past, the cassette series has included Daddy Issues, Left & Right, Guerrilla Toss, and more, so you know they’ll all be great!
