Animal Collective Debut Video for “FloriDada” | Catch Them May 6 at Marathon Music Works!

Last month, we excitedly announced that Baltimore experimental popsters Animal Collective will drop their tenth album, Painting With, on Feb. 19, and are headed back to Marathon Music Works on May 6 with Kaitlyn Smith in support. The group also recently unveiled a frenetic new single called “FloriDada,” which is weird, and especially energetic and upbeat, even by Animal Collective standards, and it has us indescribably stoked for the LP. To accompany the track, the group premiered a brand new video last week, computer animated and directed by PFFR, which perfectly captures the essence of the song and the visual theme of the forthcoming album. Trippy, surreal, bright, and potentially seizure inducing (seriously, there’s a disclaimer and all), “FloriDada” is uniquely Animal Collective, and is only a taste of what’s likely to be one of the year’s best releases.
