It’s a hell of a time to be Chris Stapleton. Following a well-deserved sweep (and unforgettable duet with Justin Timberlake) at the CMAs, and on the heels of four Grammy nominations (including the prestigious Album of the Year), the Kentucky transplant and former SteelDrivers frontman has announced not one, but two nights headlining The Ryman Auditorium early next year, Feb. 18 and 19. A testament to the strength of his unbelievable solo debut, Traveller, this is especially notable considering not but a few months ago the country crooner was only playing spots the size of Cannery Ballroom. A prolific songwriter and frequent collaborator with other top name artists, the massive recognition for Staplton’s traditionalist blend of country and bluegrass, and honest, refreshing, and personal approach to songwriting is just the type of good, solid, new country that makes us rethink the name of the site (don’t worry, it’s not changing anytime soon). Tickets go on sale here (2/18) and here (2/19) beginning Friday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. CST. Don’t be surprised if they go quick!

UPDATE: Due to overwhelming demand, a third show was added for Feb. 20, which also promptly sold out.
