Legendary singer-songwriter Emmylou Harris and John Paul White, formerly of the Civil Wars, have teamed up for the hauntingly beautiful track “Kyrie.” The collaboration is a part of the upcoming Mercyland: Hymns For The Rest Of Us, Volume II compilation, which also features The Lone Bellow, Sugar and the Hi-Lows and The Wood Brothers.
Here’s some bonus news for all you Americana lovers: early bird registration for AmericanaFest 2016 has already begun. Members can currently grab their passes for $175.00, while non-member passes are available for $275.00. This year, the price of registration does not include a ticket to the Americana Music Awards, so it’s a smart move to get your badge and tickets as early as possible.
It’s still too early to say if Harris will make an appearance at the festival next year. Instead of anxiously anticipating next year’s lineup, click below and enjoy this lovely track from two of Americana’s finest.
