Last month, we told you that acclaimed local rockers Cage the Elephant were gearing up to release their fourth full-length and highly-anticipated followup to 2013’s Grammy nominated Melophobia, called Tell Me I’m Pretty, on Dec. 18 via RCA. Their first LP not to be helmed by longtime producer Jay Joyce, Pretty pairs the band with local Black Keys frontman and acclaimed producer Dan Auerbach. We got a first taste of the result of the superstar team-up in the form of lead single, the upbeat, retro-leaning “Mess Around,” a few weeks back. Them, last week, Cage debuted another new track, this one a bit more mellow but equally as raw and nostalgic, called “Trouble.” Tonally, it’s almost a spiritual sequel to breakout ballad “Cigarette Daydreams,” and is likely to stay stuck in our heads just as long. Give it a spin below, and be sure to reserve your copy of Tell Me I’m Pretty right here!
