Philly born naturally lo-fi indie rocker, Kurt Vile (with backing band, The Violators) has announced his first stop in Nashville in two years, this time at Exit/In on Feb. 25. Vile is touring in support of his stellar 5th LP, b’lieve i’m goin down, which dropped via Matador Records on Sept. 25 of this year, and it is sure to provide stiff competition in our annual Best Of list in 2015 (Just FYI – Vile’s Wakin On A Pretty Daze won our poll in 2013). It’s safe to say that 2015 will be a big year for the young artist, who has recently announced a tour through Australia, New Zealand, and then back to the US for a bit before heading across the pond. He’ll definitely be back in the states by late spring though, as he was recently announced to perform at Hangout Fest as well. It’s pretty safe to say he will be on a number of major festival bills this year, but, it’s also safe to say that you should grab your tickets quick for the Exit/In gig when they go on sale Friday at 10am, because they likely won’t last long. While you wait, you should check out the new record on Spotify, and you can also check out the new stripped down, super cool video he just dropped for the single “Lost My Head There” via La Blogothéque’s uber cool Take Away Shows” below.
