Future Thieves - press

The debut full length from Nashville breakout act, Future Thieves, is one of the more anticipated local releases around the No Country offices this year.  Full disclosure, we’ve heard the new album titled Horizon Line, and it kicks ass.  The growth this high energy indie rock outfit over the past couple of years has been a sight to behold, and they’ve been wowing crowds from Bonnaroo to Broadway (the latter would be as part of one of our jam packed showcases).  Today, we are excited to premiere the single “The Floor” from the new record.

When asked about this particular track, guitarist Austin McCool tells us, “This song came from an old guitar riff [we] had, and it fit well with a dancey, beachy drum beat [we] wanted to fit in. It’s a song that always gets a good rise out of the crowd, and it’s about just getting out and cutting loose. It’s a great concoction of what we all individually do to make the Future Thieves sound.”

Head below for our exclusive premiere of “The Floor”, and you should also definitely mark your calendar for their release show along with The Black Cadillacs at 3rd & Lindsley on Friday Oct. 23.  The show gets started at 8pm, and tickets will cost you $10.
