If you’ve been following this blog for long, the name Charlie Abbott is probably familiar.  He’s been running around town with The Cunning, and has been with Bad Cop for even longer.  You also may remember that we recently had Charlie out to perform at Acme for one of our weekly showcases, where he wowed all of us, performing stripped down rock songs that felt like they were being performed off the cuff.

We chatted with him about his upcoming EP Watch Me Explode that night, and have eagerly been waiting for the release.  The new tunes are even better than what we expected after seeing Abbott live.  It’s an energetic and fresh romp through indie rock that demonstrates his absolute devotion to rock music.  Have a listen to the new EP below, and keep an eye out for more chances to catch Charlie Abbott live in the coming months.
