After the jump, get a refresher on why this show is one you don’t want to miss.
LIZA ANNE
Local singer-songwriter Liza Anne is much more than a girl with a guitar. She first caught our eye with her stellar cover of Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” but her obvious talents as a performer and songwriter kept her on our radar. We first presented her at the High Watt back in 2014, where she played a stream of enchanting tracks from her debut album, The Colder Months. Over the past year, she’s evolved into an artistic powerhouse. On her latest EP, TWO, she trades in simplistic acoustic accompaniment for a rock-infused combo of powerful vocals, driving guitar and piano with beautiful lyrics that totally enchant you. If ethereal folk-rock sounds like your musical cup of tea, Liza Anne is destined to be your new fave.
KEEPS
KEEPS supply a hypnotic sound that’s a modern mixture of prog rock, psych and classic rock. Be prepared: you’ll get sucked into their killer riffs and experimental soundscapes. Let the jamming commence.
Liza Anne and KEEPS will perform September 8th at The High Watt. The show is 18+, begins at 8:30PM (doors at 7:30PM), and tickets are available for $10, which includes a free copy of Liza Anne’s EP, TWO.
