Alt-country singer Pony Boy has been impressing us with her unique mix of art rock, classic country, and a noir Hollywood aesthetic, and she just released her latest video in support of her debut full-length Blue Gold, which dropped on Friday. The album was produced by Justin Collins (who has worked with Diamond Rugs among others) via the label they formed with musician and producer Adam Landry (Deer Tick), Cosmic Thug Records, and follows up her well-received 2014 EP The Devil In Me.
Click through to check out the video for the sad and synth-heavy “When Tomorrow Never Comes.” It was shot in Zacatecas, Mexico, the hometown of one of the photographers, Joaquin Trujillo. He shot the video with his partner, Brian Paumier, who did the album art for Blue Gold. The David Lynch-influenced video sees Pony Boy wandering around the Mexican city. You can catch her live next during Americana Fest, which is going down this year from Sept. 15-20. Or, if you don’t want to pay for a whole festival just to catch her, she’ll also be at The 5 Spot on Oct 10.
