It may be months away, but now you’ve got plans for Halloween, and you don’t even have to pick out a costume. After selling out two shows at 3rd & Lindsley almost instantaneously earlier this year, it’s only fitting that Sturgill Simpson’s next hometown outing would have him grace the stage of The Ryman. For his first time headlining the iconic venue, Simpson will be playing not one, but two nights, including Halloween. He’ll be joined by Billy Wayne Davis on Oct. 30 and 31, with both shows beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 24 at 10 a.m. CDT., and will range in price from $30-$50, online only right here.
Simpson’s meteoric rise over the last year has seen him play countless festivals and television shows, and landed his album, Metamodern Sounds in Country Music, on best of lists from publications including Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and Paste. We told you more about him in one of our Bonnaroo Bands of the Day features back in May, and pegged him one of the must-see artists at Forecastle Festival over the weekend. Sturgill’s debut at The Ryman is sure to go down as one of the best Nashville shows of 2015, and one you absolutely won’t want to miss.
