Ambient local supergroup lylas have just released the track “Sensual People” from their upcoming record Warm Harm. The rotating cast of the players include members of Stone Jack Jones, Lambchop, Coupler, Natural Child, and The Features, as all of lylas serves as a sort of song-making collective for singer/banjo player Kyle Hamlett. “Sensual People” came to Hammet fully formed in a dream, and he rounded up an enviable cast of nine other musicians and a “bowed mystery instrument” to record the trancey Americana tune. Warm Harm is promised to have more ambient and beat-driven dream interpretations in store for listeners. If you like Stone Jack Jones’ dark, droney Americana, then you should definitely click through to give this a listen as well.
