Purity Ring to Play Marathon Music Works Sept. 8

Celebrating the release of their long awaited and highly anticipated sophomore album, Another Eternity, which finally arrived back in February (and proved well worth the wait), Canadian synthpop duo Purity Ring have just announced a fall world tour, which includes a Sept. 8 show at our very own Marathon Music Works– the group’s first Music City outing in more than two and a half years. Quickly embraced by the blogosphere for their hypnotic, near-perfect debut, Shrines, Purity Ring have been a band surrounded by hype since their earliest days. Mostly able to live up to that buzz, the group have developed a unique spin on dream pop and electronic music, and have forged a strong, immersive live show which has helped make them regulars at countless festivals in recent years.
