Local rocker Dan Auerbach kept busy while his Black Keys drumming partner convalesced from a recent injury.  He teamed up with Leon Michels, Richard Swift, Homer Steinweiss, and Nick Movshon to form the new outfit The Arcs, who are set to release a debut record, Yours, Dreamily, on September 4th through Auerbach’s own Nonesuch Records.  The record also features Kenny Vaughan and Mariachi Flor de Toloache, and was recorded in a two week series of scattered sessions from LA to Nashville to NY.

In anticipation of the release, the first two singles from the record, “Stay In My Corner” and “Tomato Can” are being released as a 7″ single that is available for purchase now.  The new singles, which you can stream below, capture a laid back rock sound featuring Auerbach’s falsetto vocal painting swirls through an epic musical soundscape that is befitting of the talent involved in this project.  Needless to say, we are excited to hear more from the album, and hope that some tour dates could be in the works, assuming these busy guys can find a few agreeable dates.   Dig in with the new singles below, and, if you like what you hear, consider pre-ordering the LP, as the first 500 orders will receive autographed copies.
