In the latest edition of our No Country For New Nashville Podcast, we sat down with vocalist Anna M’Queen and producer/multi-instrumentalist Zach Hall, of local electro-rock outfit Five Knives. Celebrating the June 2 release of their full-length debut, Savages, out via Red Bull Records (from which we premiered a track called “Elevator” last week), the band are set to play their first Nashville show of 2015 this Friday, June 5 at The Basement East with The Wans and Hot Tub Club!

Continuing with a slightly revamped format, episode nine once again brings back assistant editor Philip Obenschain as host, following last week’s episode with CAPPA. Don’t forget to check out previous episodes, helmed by Brad Wilson, featuring Brooke Waggoner, JT Daly of Paper Route, Vinyl Thief, Canon Blue, Ben Elkins of ELEL, John Davis of Superdrag and The Lees of Memory, and Alanna Royale. Episode nine is sponsored by local lifestyle brand DCXV Industries, with theme music from John Davis.
