Seattle quintet Ivan & Alyosha have announced tour dates, including a stop Nashville, in support of the release of their sophomore album, It’s All Just Pretend, available today, May 4. The tour kicks off with a hometown show later this week, and makes a stop at The High Watt on June 2.
Ivan & Alyosha (I&A) are an indie, folk-pop, rock band consisting of Tim Wilson (lead vocals, guitar), Ryan Carbary (guitar, piano), Tim Kim (guitar), Pete Wilson (bass) and Cole Mauro (drums). We first saw I&A back in early 2011 at Kimbro’s Pickin’ Parlor in Franklin performing for a small but appreciative crowd and then, again, in late 2013 headlining a Nashville Sunday Night show at 3rd & Lindsley. Their new album is the followup to the band’s 2013 debut, All The Times We Had, which received great press, including from NPR Music, American Songwriter, Paste, USA Today and others. The LP was produced and engineered by Carbary, Chad Copelin, and Joe Chiccarelli (U2, My Morning Jacket). The lead single “All This Wandering Around” is already being played on some of the key stations around the country, including Lightning 100. Co-founder Tim Wilson wrote the song here in Nashville with Jason and Jordan Lehning. Check out the official music video below!
