The same Nashvillians who brought us the Muddy Roots Music Festival are putting on the inaugural Nashville Boogie Vintage Weekender and Car Show May 1-2 at Opryland Resort. It will be a weekend of rockabilly, country, western swing and hillbilly boogie complemented by indoor and outdoor car shows, a pin-up pageant, and a fashion show. In celebration of the ’40s and ’50s sounds that built Nashville, the festival features headliners like Don Maddox, The Paladins, Johnny Powers, Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite Boys, and Rosie Flores. If you have been to Muddy Roots Music Festival before, you know this will be a good time.
The weekend festival kicks off this Thursday, April 30 at the Nashville Palace across the street from Opryland. Friday and Saturday evenings the official festival will be taking place throughout Opryland Resort (along with the car show on Saturday), and then it all wraps up on Sunday with a church service at the Texas Troubadour Theater and the final shows in the evening at the Johnny Cash Museum. Needless to say, there’s going to be lots of great music and sights, so check out below to get some more details and grab your tickets.
Check out the full schedule here. See below for videos from some of the headliners.
