Music City is known for the amount of musicians that emerge from its various nooks and crannies, but this city is also known for welcoming talented artists from beyond state lines. Tonight at a beloved local venue, The Basement, Nashville will be celebrating the creativity of Houston, Texas groups The Tontons and Wild Moccasins. If you’re eager to dance, hear some great music, and experience a show with some people who know how to have fun, this is the place to be.
THE TONTONS
Indie-rock group The Tontons are proud to say that they really can’t be compared to any other band on earth. They simply are who they are and they sound like no one but themselves. Upbeat, fun, creative, inspirational – The Tontons embody all of these and more with pride and happiness. Having recently released their latest album Make Out King and Other Stories of Love, the quartet has been touring to promote the new material that has everyone dancing.
WILD MOCCASINS
Pop artists Wild Moccasins have a chemistry that is infectious – when they are on stage, they simply strive to play great music and have a damn good time doing it. With this sort of attitude, it’s understandable why they would open for the fun-loving Tontons. 88 92, Wild Moccasins’ sophomore album, is out now and available for purchase online.
The Tontons and Wild Moccasins will perform on February 26th at The Basement. The show is 21+, begins at 9PM, and tickets are available for $8 at the door.
